I voted republican because...

1. Smart, educated Presidents scare me.
2. I would like my neighborhood to be considered "Pro-America"
3. I want to see big corporations outsource as many jobs as they can
4. if a person spent 5 years in a POW camp, i believe he can win a war
5. i have always dreamed of being brutally raped by a psychopath and have his baby even if i have to die in the process
6. i need the government to legislate the conception and birthing process
7. McCain said "obama will raise your taxes" so many times, it must be true, even though facts say otherwise.
8. i have always grown in an environment of fear: fearing God, fearing outsiders, instead of a loving environment.
9. i want a fundamentalist Christian right wing cult to fill the big gap that KKK has left behind
10. i think there should be a woman in the VP's office even though she knows nothing about anything.

Keeping the country secure

McCain seems to be emphasizing the fact that he has served in the armed forces, and hence is better equipped to keep the country safe.
I find it hard to buy that argument. With nothing but the highest gratitude to him and all the other veterans who have served the country, McCain didn't do anything spectacular in the war - he got shot down, and was a POW for many years.
I haven't heard a single story about McCain going in with his men, getting wounded but still managing to capture an area, or at least come out of there with all or most of his men safe and sound.
John Kerry had a purple heart too - the country chose a man who had never gone to war in his life - W. If the epitome of ineptitude, W, can fend of terrorist attacks, Obama will in fact make America a much safer country, not only by shoring the country's defenses, but also diplomatically, by shedding our "big bully" image.

Republican Lies and Deception

I struggle to understand why roughly half of this country is so strongly committed to lying and spreading false information.
Republicans are sending out fliers that say "republicans vote Nov 4th, and democrats on Nov 5".
John McCain keeps lying about Obama wanting to increase everyone's taxes as he flaunts Joe-the-defaulter-on-taxes on his campaign trail.
The Christian Al Qaeda organization here in the US is painting ludicrous doomsday scenarios if Obama becomes President. There's one sure-fire way to determine whether an organization is a religion or a cult - doomsday scenarios.
Although the undecided percentage does seem to be shrinking, i believe now is not the time to be sitting out the direction of your future.
Have you ever seen a man more calm and sensible than Obama? Add to it his education, his intellect, and it's a wonder to me that all educated, smart Americans are not saying, "i am not going to vote by dogma, i'm going to vote for this man who can bring respectability and recognition back to the President's office and the USofA".

The Same Bullshit over and over and over...

McCain is old and senile. His hearing and possibly his comprehension is gone.
Obama has said over and over and over again - no new taxes or fines on small businesses earning under $250,000.
Doesn't get it. But i think past campaigns have proven that a lie repeated over and over and over again will ultimately become accepted as the truth - first by the sycophants around the guilty party, then, the people around those sycophants and so on and so forth.
So honestly, McCain and Palin are a disease. A disease that's trying to plague the nation. Talk about "saying anything to get elected" - that seems to be their motto.

John Misrepresentation McCain

In the final debate before the elections, McCain continued his detestable trend of completely misrepresenting/lying about Obama's policies. Obama continued his trend of providing black and white answers refuting McCain's statements which was perhaps more noteworthy, because 4 years ago, Kerry mired himself in 4000 word answers that made sense to only the top 10% of the nation's intelligence).
The funniest thing was when McCain said, "I'm joe the plumber, and i will get fined for not providing the right healthcare", and Obama said, "here's what your fine will be - 0 dollars because you'll be making less than $250000!" McCain's face was worth watching at that point. And then McCain suddenly in an instant makes the same "Joe the plumber" rich, and says now you'll be taxed. here's a man who's desperate and clutching at non-existent straws.

George Wallace and John McCain

Sample most of Palin's recent comments during his campaign, about Obama. This is not a legitimate calling to question of Obama's record - it is plain and simple, an incitement of hate. "we know who the bad guys are"?? Back in the days after 9/11, the bad guys were the Taliban, Al Qaeda and Osama. Now it's Obama?? because one of the guys that he worked with had committed violent acts when he was 8 years old?? That's like saying since George Wallace was such a pro-segregationist in his early years, anyone who worked with him after he changed his ways should be considered a pro-segregationist because he had once been that.
there is really nothing Palin contributes to this campaign. except hate and judgment.

Who is John McCain?

Really. Who is John McCain?
Church-going conservative? Don't think so. he's not anti-abortion. he doesn't carry the radical Churchian ideology that kills doctors offering abortion services, or bans stem-cell research.
Fiscal conservative? Not really. most of the GOP fiscal conservatives are up in arms against McCain's plan to make the government buy bad mortgages.
So what is he, really?

I won't even ask the same question of the VP nominee.
